Spent Co-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst treated with sulfuric acid baking and leaching for improved metal recovery

A revolutionary method for the recovery of metals has been developed by scientists at the National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) in India. Using low-temperature sulfuric acid baking followed by a mild leaching process, the researchers were able to dissolve metals from pre-oxidized refinery plant spent Co-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst.
